  • A Fresh Start for Your Skin

Throughout the winter months your skin changes. It becomes drier and the general lack of moisture only calls unwanted attention to fine lines and wrinkles. After months of layering on products to try and hydrate and protect, it’s finally time to take a step back and peel away winter’s layers — literally. Ready... Set... Give your skin a fresh start!

    Step 1. Exfoliate

This is really is the key to everything and why — if you can — we recommend beginning with a professional microdermabrasion or chemical peel treatment. Exfoliation literally removes the outside layers of the skin that are responsible not only for making your skin look dull, dry and wrinkled, but also prevents good absorption of your skin correcting serums and other products.

Scrub away winter with MD Scrub. Use this two times per week to reveal healthier, younger looking skin!

    Step 2. Brighten

Once you’ve cleaned up and cleared out those outer layers, it’s time to infuse your skin with vitamin C and other active ingredients that work together to transform dull and aging skin into bright and beautiful skin.

Brighten up this spring with C-Serum for a rejuvenated complexion!

    Step 3. Enhance

An important step for every face over the age of 30 is nightly retinol. As we age, our skin’s natural ability to turnover old skin cells slows down. Retinol helps to keep skin cells turning over so your skin remains soft, supple and vibrant!

Enhance your skin and keep wrinkles at bay with R-nol 20 Serum.

    Step 4. Boost

Instant brightener, anyone? We like to think of this step as the cherry on top of your skin rejuvenation efforts. It’s a weekly mini-peel that helps to create a clear and even complexion for the ultimate in fresh skin.

Give your skin a boost with our Weekly Mini-Peel Brightener!

  • Love Your Skin This Winter

There’s nothing harsher on the skin than the 1-2 punch it gets in the winter with freezing temperatures outside and artificially dry heat inside. The result is a lack of hydration and a build up of dead skin cells on the surface of the skin, both of which exacerbate the appearance of age and wrinkles. Show your skin some love this winter with these 3 simple steps:

    1. Hydrate

The key to youthful looking skin is pretty simple: hydration! And sometimes even the richest moisturizers alone don’t cut it. Try adding a hydrating serum for a hydration boost that won’t let your skin dry out. Be sure to wear it under your winter moisturizer.

Try HP Gel, our winter hydration secret to enhancing skin moisture with hyaluronic acid.

    2. Clarify

It’s one of Dr. Few’s beauty tricks for 2016 — retinol! A vitamin A extract, retinol gets rid of fine lines and wrinkles at night, clarifies the skin and keeps the pores clear, which is also great for controlling adult acne. Be sure to only use a retinol every other night during the winter months to avoid dehydrating your skin.

Try our R•nol 20 Serum to enhance cell turnover with less irritation than prescription retinoids.

    3. Exfoliate

Even with your best efforts to keep winter skin fresh and hydrated, there’s another crucial step: exfoliation. While a retinol aids in skin cell turnover, it’s exfoliation that actually cleans that dead layer off to reveal the clean and clear skin underneath.

Try MD Scrub, specially formulated to remove dead skin cells and reveal healthier, younger looking skin!

  • Is Your Skin Ready for Fall?

The cooler weather that blows in with Fall means drier air. While it’s a nice change from the hot and sticky days of summer, it also changes your skin’s needs. Drier air equals drier skin and that means signs of skin damage and dullness become more apparent. The key to keeping your skin beautiful despite the change in weather? We’ve got 3:

    1. R•nol 20

The natural process of skin cell turnover slows down as we age, which creates dull skin and also emphasizes fine lines and wrinkles. R•nol 20, a medical-grade retinol serum, helps to turn these cells over. As a bonus, it also helps to unclog pores, which means fewer acne breakouts (for both young and mature skin alike!). Use daily.

    2. MD Scrub

A second contributor to dull skin is the dead skin cells that build up on the skin’s surface. While R•nol 20 turns them over, you still need some extra elbow to remove them. That’s where MD Scrub comes in. With a clay base, this product delivers gentle heat as it removes dry dead skin cells and minimizes excess skin oil ultimately revealing clearer, healthier, younger looking skin that glows. Use 2x per week.

    3. Moisture Complete

The finishing touch? A moisture boost, of course, to both hydrate and protect the fresh skin you’ve uncovered with regular retinol use and a good weekly (or so) scrub. This is also the time of year to up your moisture level. For most skin types we recommend Moisture Complete. For very oily skin types, try Sheer Moisture. Use daily.

  • No matter your age or the season, it's a simple, universal truth: acne is aggravating. If you're looking for a way to keep those blemishes at bay, we’ve got some professional advice for how to keep your skin clean and clear!

    1. Stimulate Cell Turnover with Retinol

If you suffer from acne, you may benefit the professional power of office-based chemical peel treatments. Chemical peels work by removing dead skin cells and cleaning out clogged pores. Once-a-month peels can do wonders! In between peels, we believe in the power of a daily retinol. Not only can retinol help to keep those skin cells turning over, but it can also help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for overall skin rejuvenation!

We recommend R●nol 20 Serum for clean, clear and beautiful skin!

    2. Keep it Clean

Looking for a boost to keep your skin clean? Keep your skin clean all year long with an at-home cleanser that effectively cleans and keeps your skin beautifully balanced.

We recommend LF Cleanser to thoroughly foam away oil, debris and makeup without stripping your skin of vital moisture and essential oils.

    3. Moisturize Strategically

Depending on the weather and how oily your skin is, it can be difficult to find the right amount of moisture:

    • During the warmer months, or when your skin needs only a minimum of moisture, we recommend HP Gel, an oil-free hyaluronic acid product that locks moisture in. This topical gel is water-based, fragrance-free and non-comedogenic.
    • During cooler, drier months, we recommend our Sheer Moisturizer to your daily skin regimen. This doctor-approved product provides a light touch of moisture on the outside of the skin, while maintaining the skin’s natural moisture barrier from within.
